Broncos Will Start Webster

Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan says Nate Webster has won the battle to start at middle linebacker.  He beat out Niko Koutovides in a close race, after the team gave Koutovides a three-year, 7.5-million-dollar free-agent contract over the summer.  Koutovides will get extra work in Friday’s preseason finale at Arizona.

Denver Post States Holdman’s Carrer Likely Over

Broncos linebacker Warrick Holdman’s career is basically over according to today’s edition of the Denver Post.  The linebacker suffered a spinal cord concussion two weeks ago when he took a fluke hit in practice.  He was numb for a few moments, and then got his motion back but ended up in a hospital for tests.  [...]
