Broncos Chatting with Giants OC Mike Sullivan About Their QB Coaches Job

The Broncos are chatting with Giants OC Mike Sullivan, looking at the chance of bringing him in as possibly their new QB coach.

Sullivan was part of a bad season with the Giants, but worked with Eli Manning and no doubt has solid experience that can help whoever is under center for the Broncos in 2018.

The Broncos planned to interview Giants offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan on Thursday for their quarterbacks coaching job, and on Wednesday interviewed Curtis Modkins and Bernie Parmalee for their running backs coaching position, an NFL source confirmed.

Sullivan, in his second coaching stint with the Giants, has worked with quarterback Eli Manning in New York for the last three seasons and has coached in the NFL for 16 years. Sullivan started in Jacksonville, alongside current Broncos offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave, as the Jaguars’ defensive quality control coordinator and then offensive assistant in 2002 and ’03, respectively.

Sullivan joined the Giants in 2004 and coached their receivers for six seasons before becoming their quarterbacks coach for two years. After a two-year stint as Tampa Bay’s offensive coordinator (2012-13), he returned to New York as quarterbacks coach for a season and then their coordinator for the last two. The Giants won Super Bowls XLII and XLVI in that time.
