How the Layout of the AFC West Looks After Sunday’s Results

The Broncos after a bad loss on Thursday night and action between the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders remain tied for first in the AFC West, a division that now appears to be a race between four competitive teams that could very well come down to what team has the best divisional record.

If you were betting legal online casino games, it would be very hard to tell just who the best team in the AFC West is, as all four teams have issues after the first six weeks of the season.

The Chiefs have the best division record after five games (they have already had their bye), as they sit at 2-0 with wins over the San Diego Chargers and Sunday over the Oakland Raiders, an impressive 26-10 road win over a Raiders team that was red-hot before running into the buzz saw Sunday.

What was most impressive about the Chiefs on Sunday was their ability to run the football, something if they can do well moving forward makes them a very dangerous team in the AFC.

“That’s the game we play,” said Chiefs defensive lineman Dontari Poe after the win over the Raiders Sunday.

“You come out sometimes and it doesn’t go your way, but you got to make sure it goes your way the next time. Can’t keep on the downward spiral. You got to get it back up.”

For Kansas City, they were beat up by the Steelers two weeks ago by 29 points, but finally were able to get on track after their bye week.

Spencer Ware ran for a career-high 131 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Raiders, who seemed shell shocked by their home effort. The odd thing about Oakland is they are 1-2 at home, and 3-0 on the road.

Maybe more of a reason for the team to move to Las Vegas if they are not getting the proper support in the ‘Black Hole’?

Oakland at 4-2 has two straight road games, as they will play the Jaguars on the road this Sunday in Jacksonville, and then they have an interesting game in Tampa against the Bucs, who this last Sunday were on bye.

As for the Chiefs, they are a team to watch, as at 3-2 this is about the time last season Andy Reid got his team turned around, and they were the most dangerous team entering the postseason, but a bad start stopped them from winning the division.

They have a game this next Sunday at home against the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium, a team that just beat the defending NFC Champion Carolina Panthers 41-38 in a shootout.

For Broncos fans, the hope is that Drew Brees stays hot, and picks apart the Chiefs secondary this next Sunday and sends KC to a mark of 3-3.

The week after that, the Chiefs will be at the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, another interesting game against Andrew Luck and company. The Colts blew a late big lead on Sunday night, losing to the Texans at home in overtime 26-23.
