Well, here we are six weeks into the season and sitting at 4-1 with a huge game with the Chargers. It is a division game, so I am sure they will be pumped up. They looked last week like they were sleepwalking with certain exceptions. The protection fell apart for helping Paxton and he looked like a frightened deer in the light at times out there. Again, the energy of the OL was pathetic, Our Defense kept us in the game, but our Offense needs to score some more points, Siemens is projected to play this week which should get the effort of the OL and our skilled players up.
The Defense needs to fly around and get some more takeaways. That would take a lot of pressure off the Offense. Anytime we have scored 20 or more points, we have won the game. So the Offense needs to get great blocking, especially with the return of Stevenson to action, should be a great key for improved blocking, both in protecting Siemens and opening running lanes for our RBs. If they can improve in those ways, I see us winning 31-17. If they still struggle, we may lose the game. But with the long break after this game, not playing until the Monday next week, they can heal up their dings and that would help them get ready for the stretch run to the 11th week for the bye week on the 4 games until then. And they don’t want the taste of a lousy defeat in their mouths and minds. That alone should go a long way to motivate them this week, along with the fact it is our first Division game, I think they will play with more energy, and if we can win the turnover battle and make a lot fewer mistakes compared to theirs it would also be a huge factor for a Victory. GO GO Broncos and really execute like you did before that Falcon game and Orange Crush the Chargers, then enjoy a minibreak getting healthy again, Broncos Country is squarely behind you all the way!!!
