Something Has Got To Give

In Week 5, the Broncos (4-0) return home to face a surging Atlanta Falcons team that currently sits atop the NFC East with a 2 game cushion at 3-1.  After dismantling the Carolina Panthers at home, the Falcons now boast the best statistical offense in the NFL.  Julio Jones and Matt Ryan are both coming off of record breaking performances and look to continue their trend this week on the road in Denver.

On the other side of the ball stands one of the NFL’s fiercest and most dominant defenses this year.  The Broncos have used their defense early and often to set the tempo of the game, which ultimately wears opponents out as the game winds down in the 4th quarter.  For the Broncos, getting pressure on Matt Ryan will be the key to winning the game against a high octane offense.  If the No Fly Zone wants the world to take them seriously, here is their chance to silence their critics.

Will it be a back and forth air show, or will Denver’s D be able to set the tempo and secure Denver’s 5 straight win to start the 2016 campaign?

Fun Facts:

  • Atlanta is ranked #1 overall in total offense with 478.8 yards gained per game
  • Denver is ranked #4 overall in total defense with 283.2 yards allowed per game
  • Atlanta is ranked #1 overall in passing offense with 354.2 yards gained per game
  • Denver is ranked #2 overall in passing defense with 169.5 yards allowed per game
  • Matt Ryan leads the NFL in passing yards with 1473
  • Julio Jones leads the NFL is receiving yards with 488
  • Von Miller leads the NFL in sacks with 5.5
  • Aqib Talib ranks 2nd in the NFL with 3 interceptions

Plain and simple, folks.  Something has got to give.  Go Broncos!
