More on Von’s suspension.

Econonic woes for Him ;
(1) Loss of incomes for 3/8 (37.5%) of his contract this
season.
(2) Potential harm to future contract(s)
He can try to negotiate a new contract after this season (completing his third year of his rookie contract), but the Broncos may prefer to sign him for next season and see how he matures and stay out of trouble not only this season, but next years too. If all goes well in his performance on the field and in his conduct in public and his personal life, they will negotiate for a multi-year
contract that could rival contracts for Clay Matthews and Aldon Smith and J.J. Watts, who could have contracts before him as benchmarks. But he has a lot to prove by staying out of further problems and coming back with a vengeance fueled by needing to maximize his performance down the stretch by not only to atone for his actions, but also to protects his future earnings potential. John Elway had this to say,” Obviously we’re frustated with what’s happened- and I think disappointed in Von” Then added,”I know nobody feels worse about this than Von, so for us (it’s being”) able to keep our arms around him and be there and help him through this process.” Now next man up for Sean Phillips, Nate Irving and Danny Trevathon. And we need improved performances from Robert Ayers and Derek Wolfe to keep pressure on opposing QB’s. Schemes from Jack De Reo will help too to keep offense off balance.Until Von’s return in week 7 at the Colts this hopefully will help with the defensive performance to aid the awesome offensive potential of the Broncos. He’ll sure be hunting and the Broncos need him for that stretch run to a possible SuperBowl championship in NYC in February!
