Offensive Center most in flux position for the Broncos

With Walton injured and due to miss half the season, the Broncos promptly resigned Dan Koppen to fill in just like he did last year. When Koppen was quickly injured, they moved Manny Ramirez to center and signed Ryan Lilja who was recommended by Jeff Saturday who was Peytons center with the Colts. And with Chris Kupers return from leg and foot operations they are also looking at him as a possible center if his recovery goes well.

Lilja is putting pressure on Ramirez for the starting position, but going into the Seahawks game, Ramirez should start, but watch for Lilja to get some plays with the first team during the fIrst half with most of the starters playing most of that opening half.

Kupers participation will be decided at gametime but it is doubtful he will play much this week. Will a starter be decided this week? Could be, but it probably will take until the last preseason game to name a starter for the Raven game which will be the opening game of the NFL 2013 season. But whoever it is they will have earned it with the most highly contested starting position for the Broncos!
