Fox Speaks On the Comments Brady Quinn Made in Reference to Tebow GQ Article

Brady Quinn was not so nice about the latest GQ article about Tim Tebow, going above and beyond to say “sorry” for comments that appeared to come off saying that Tebow wasn’t humble, while if he was the starter he would be.

Quinn has been taking a beating in the media for his comments, and the article has become a firestarter for those that think Quinn should not have said what he did.

The former Browns QB did say he felt that his comments were taken by Michael Silver, who wrote the piece, out of context, but Silver is standing by what he wrote.

Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine, Broncos coach John Fox spoke out for the first time on the comments, mostly skirting around the issue and any issues that the QB’s may have.

“Knowing their relationship and knowing both Brady and Tim very well myself, sometimes things get lost in translation,” Fox said. “I know their relationship is very close, they have a lot of respect for each other, they are very good teammates to each other, that’s all I know, it’s hard for me to stay up on all the comments.”

Silver said on NFL Network Thursday that there was some “understandable tension” between Quinn and Tebow, this despite what Fox said. The question will be can the two work together if they are on the same team in 2012?

Stay tuned.
