It was said all along that Kyle Orton would end up in South Beach for a third round draft pick.
Time went by, and so the Dolphins opted to sign former Panthers quarterback Matt Moore, passing on the chance to acquire Orton from Denver.
With Orton’s $1.5 million roster bonus already activated at 4 p.m. ET, it’s apparent the former Boilermaker gunslinger will remain in the Mile High City.
If John Elway is paying the bonus to keep the Purdue product, then it’s time to prepare for a Tebow-Orton camp battle for the starting QB gig.
After all the hype and hoopla, Kyle Orton was the only signal caller expected to be moved, not to get dealt.
