2010 Look Back – Broncos Lose Opener in Jacksonville 24-17

Today we begin our look back at the tough Broncos 2010 season. We start with the game story from week one, a tough 24-17 setback in Jacksonville against the Jaguars.

Now that training camp is over and Week 1 is in the books for the Denver Broncos, they could very well be scratching their heads as missed opportunities, a weather delay (lightning paid a visit) and a short, stocky fellow wearing a Jacksonville Jaguars uniform named Maurice Jones-Drew ensured that the Broncos would go to 0-1 in this early part of the NFL season.

Drew ran for 98 yards and Jaguars quarterback David Garrard was efficient, which was enough for Jacksonville to hold off Denver 24-17 at EverBank Field Sunday.

The first quarter for both teams was inconsequential as they went scoreless. PRobably more like a chess match as field position was of utmost importance early.
