Broncos’ Brass Skips Clemson DE Da’Quan Bowers Workout

Clemson defensive end Da’Quan Bowers’ highly-anticipated pro day workout on Friday drew over three dozen scouts and talent evaluators to the Clemson campus. The Denver Broncos, who pick second and has shown interest in Bowers, did not send any of their top decision-makers, Jeff Legwold of The Denver Post reports.

Instead, Legwold reports Broncos executive vice president John Elway, general manager Brian Xanders, and head coach John Fox hosted University of Washington quarterback Jake Locker at their Dove Valley, Colorado headquarters.

Matt Russell, the Broncos director of college scouting, taking in Bowers’ workout, which according to reports, attracted two NFL general managers–Atlanta’s Thomas Dimitroff and Buffalo’s Buddy Nix–and Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt. Bowers is scheduled to visit the Broncos on Monday.
