Bronco Joe’s Week 2 Preview

The Broncos look to win their 11th consecutive home opener Sunday when they host former AFC West rival Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are coming off an impressive opening day win over the 49ers. The Broncos lost a hard fought battle last week in Jacksonville.

The Broncos, still in search of a running game, will need to run the ball effectively to keep the Seahawks from sending a barage of blitzes aimed at Kyle Orton. This game presents an oppurtunity for the offense to shine in front of their home crowd for the first time under Josh McDaniels.

On defense the Broncos will need to find ways to rush the passer, the loss of Elvis Dumerville was evident last week. The Broncos must also address some issues in the secondary as the unit showed signs of age.

Bronco Joe’s prediction: Broncos win a back and forth battle 31-28.
