McDaniels understands Elvis Dumervil’s position on not inking his deal

All-Pro outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil, a restricted free agent, has yet to sign his one-year, $3.168 Million tender and isn’t expected to sign it any time soon. If he doesn’t sign it, the team can’t fine him for skipping the June minicamp or perhaps training camp in hopes of securing a long-term deal. “I know that is a frustrating situation for all of us,” Broncos coach Josh McDaniels told The Denver Post. “We are looking at a place right now in the league where there is some uncertainty for us going forward. I think that is holding up some things on a lot of teams and in a lot of organizations.” I am not frustrated with Elvis. I totally understand Elvis’ position. I respect whatever he chooses to do.”

  1. John Messenger says:

Convince him to sign then trade him to the dolphins and draft a monster who can rush the QB and stop the run. Dume can’t stop the run. Teams ran to his side in 07 and 08.
