Now that Andra Davis is gone, the Broncos have to find a way to fill the starting LB spot, and the Denver Post today reports there’s a couple of options for the team:

How will the Broncos fill their void at the strongside middle of their 3-4? They could use the draft, where McClain is considered the best middle linebacker prospect.

Or the Broncos could enter the free-agent market, where the best available linebacker appears to be Oakland’s Kirk Morrison. But he’s a restricted free agent, and signing him would force the Broncos to surrender a third-round draft pick, as well as a sizable contract offer.

The Broncos also could fill the void from within. Mario Haggan, who started at outside linebacker last season, could move back to his more natural inside position.
