The Broncos placed RT Ryan Harris on injured reserve on Tuesday, ending his season because of a dislocated right big toe.
Harris first injured the toe Nov. 1 at Baltimore and then re-injured it Sunday on his 10th play in his first game back, at Kansas City. A specialist told Harris on Tuesday that he would not be able to return this season, even for the playoffs.
Harris, one of the better right tackles in the NFL, again will be replaced by Tyler Polumbus. Polumbus isn’t as swift as Harris, but is big and didn’t play poorly while subbing for Harris.
