After releasing a dozen players on Saturday, the Denver Broncos signed a veteran defensive lineman as they inked Vonnie Holliday to a contract; no financial terms of the contract were available as of this post.

Last season, Holliday had 3.5 sacks while with the Miami Dolphins and has 55 in his career; presumably, Holliday was signed to make an impact in the Broncos’ 3-4 defense. Expect Holliday to play nose tackle in their defensive scheme.
