There were rumors about Jarvis Moss actually retiring and walking away from the Broncos after he stepped away from camp. DL Marcus Thomas, his good friend, tells the Denver Post that he’ll be back Monday.
“I talked to him this morning. He’s looking up now, so he’s going to be back,” Thomas said.
Thomas is Moss’ closest friend on the team, and the two have been teammates since early in their college careers at the University of Florida. Both were drafted by the Broncos in 2007.
Moss did not show up for training camp Saturday and has been excused from practice while he contemplates his future in football. Teammates said Saturday and today that Moss has been quite unhappy.
“I think he should think it over and do whatever is best for him, that’s the main thing,” teammate Tim Crowder, also a member of the 2007 draft class, said. “You know, it’s hard to do something when you’re not happy, and just as long as he’s happy at the end of the day, whatever decision he makes, he’s got to live with it.”
