The Broncos suffered one significant injury in their 30-10 loss to Carolina, a broken bone in the left hand of right guard Chris Kuper. It took one play without Kuper to emphasize how significant he is to quarterback Jay Cutler. On the first play after Kuper left the game, his replacement, rookie Kory Lichtensteiger, surrendered a sack to Charles Johnson.
