A magnetic resonance imaging exam on Friday confirmed what the Broncos suspected Thursday night:

Rookie running back Ryan Torain will miss the remainder of the season with a torn left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

He will undergo surgery to repair the tear in the coming weeks and then begin rehabilitation.

“I’ll just keep my head up,” Torain said Thursday night after Denver’s 34-30 win over Cleveland.

Torain rushed for 68 yards in the first half before leaving late in the second quarterback after a Browns defender fell on his left leg after a 6-yard gain.
