The Associated Press reports Broncos WR Brandon Marshall has had his suspension reduced to one game. His suspension begins Saturday, August 30th, and he can return to team headquarters September 9th. Marshall will forfeit his pay for an additional game, meaning he’ll lose a two-game total of $52,352.

Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan says Nate Webster has won the battle to start at middle linebacker. He beat out Niko Koutovides in a close race, after the team gave Koutovides a three-year, 7.5-million-dollar free-agent contract over the summer. Koutovides will get extra work in Friday’s preseason finale at Arizona.

Wide receiver Brandon Marshall was in New York City yesterday, appealing a three-game suspension for off-field troubles.
