Lee Rasizer, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports TE Tony Scheffler (foot) is expected to miss at least two weeks while his foot is in a protective boot. Head coach Mike Shanahan commented on the injury. “We know there’s not another break in there,” Shanahan said. “You can see that on the X-rays. But there’s something in there that keeps him quite sore, and, hopefully, with a couple weeks in the boot, he’ll come back full speed and we don’t aggravate the injury.” The team hopes Scheffler can be able to resume full activities in June. Meanwhile, the NFL Network and The Denver Post report Scheffler will be out at least four weeks.
