Broncos’ Budget Bind

Even the Broncos can’t ignore a tough economy.  The team laid off eight support staffers yesterday, including PR director Paul Kirk and website editor Andrew Mason.  None of the dismissed employees worked directly with the football team, but head coach Mike Shanahan was already cutting financial corners.  General manager Ted Sundquist, defensive coordinator Jim Bates, and offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger are all gone  –  with in-house employees picking up their work load.
