The Broncos re-signed defensive end John Engelberger and tight end Nate Jackson on Tuesday. Terms of the deals were not released. Engelberger has played in every game over the last two seasons, including 15 starts in 2007, and has missed just four games total over his eight-year career. He led the Broncos’ defensive line with 59 tackles last season and also had one sack, two pass breakups and one forced fumble. The 31-year-old is entering his fourth season with the Broncos after playing the first five years of his career in San Francisco. Engelberger has amassed 238 tackles, 19-and-a-half sacks and 13 forced fumbles over 124 career games. Jackson posted three catches for 34 yards and one touchdown while playing in five games last season. The 28-year-old has 16 grabs for 156 yards and one TD over his five-year career with Denver.
