Bronco Thomas Snagged In Drug Case

The Broncos are monitoring developments in Florida, after Orange Park Police arrested defensive tackle Marcus Thomas early Saturday. The team says driver Bryce Carter admitted ownership of the cocaine in his pickup, and there was no cocaine in Thomas’s system. Cops also found a gun and suspected marijuana in the truck. Both men are out on bond, facing possession charges. Thomas’s agent, Richard Burnoski, admits the arrest “looks horrible,” but says he doubts prosecutors will ever file a case against Thomas. Thomas went into treatment for drug use while he was playing college football at Florida, and passed a series of weekly tests leading up to last year’s draft.
