Smith Sounds Like He’ll Be Back in 2008

Broncos wide out Rod Smith is done for 2007, but if he is done forever is the big question.  A high injury has ruined the 37-year-olds season, and there was talk right off the bat that he would be walking away from the NFL with the injury setback.  Thursday Smith spoke for the first time since being placed on injured reserve, and seemed to sound like he would be coming back in 08.  “My role is limited but my heart and my desire for us to win football games is not limited by no means,” Smith said.  The receiver will not have to be at meetings the rest of the season, but went on to say that he will be at practices and at games to help out the struggling Broncos young wide out core.
