No Fracture in Leg for QB Cutler

Despite still stinging from their latest blowout loss Sunday, the Broncos got some good news Monday about quarterback Jay Cutler. The team announced that Cutler does not have a fracture in his lower leg as was feared when he was hurt Sunday against the Lions. An MRI came back negative, and right now Cutler will have to wait and see if he can go Sunday in Kansas City. “He doesn’t have a stress fracture, which is a positive,” Shanahan said. “The X-rays were negative, the MRI was negative. So, we’ll see how sore he is. Right now he’s quite sore. And we’ll get a chance to see how he feels on Wednesday.” Cutler was carted off the field and although immediate X-rays were negative, Cutler said he feared his leg was broken. If Jay can’t go in KC, Patrick Ramsey will be the starter for the Broncos.
