Lynch practices, declares himself ready for Sunday

John Lynch, Denver Broncos safetyDenver Broncos safety John Lynch, who suffered a groin strain in last week’s 38-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, practiced on Wednesday and declared himself ready for Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers.  Lynch told Arnie Stapleton of the Associated Press, “Things went well.  I came out here and practiced a complete practice and really felt good.”

Lynch said that he didn’t agree with Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan’s decision to deactivate him for the Broncos-Colts game, but that he understood the rationale behind the decision, adding, “It’s the last thing you want to do.  But that’s what makes Mike a successful coach.  He knew that would be a hard decision for me, so he made the decision himself.  And I didn’t necessarily like it but in retrospect (it was) probably the right thing to do and I feel real good.”
