Broncos Safety Abdullah Out for a Month

The Broncos depth in the backfield has taken a hit, as the team will be without safety Hamza Abdullah for the next month with a hip injury.  “Hamza is going to be out for awhile,” Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said.  Abdullah has not practiced due to a muscle tear that took place in the first half of last weeks win over the Raiders.  The Denver Post states that the safety, who has been backing up John Lynch, should be back after the bye week.  Curome Cox will now be called upon to back up Lynch, as he took over for Abdullah last week after he got hurt.
