Lightning delayed the first half for 25 minutes, but the Broncos saved the real fireworks for the end yesterday at Mile High. Jason Elam’s 23-yard field goal in overtime beat the Raiders, 23-20. The Broncos gave up a safety, the Raiders returned an interception for a touchdown, and Sebastian Janikowski looked like he had won the game for Oakland with a 52-yard field goal in overtime. But Denver had called time out just before the snap, and Janikowski doinked the re-kick off the left upright. That gave Denver one more shot and Elam cashed it in. The Jacksonville Jaguars visit Denver next Sunday.
