3rd Round Pick OL Harris Out 4-6 Weeks After Back Surgery

The Broncos will be without rookie offensive tackle Ryan Harris for four to six weeks after he underwent back surgery. The third-round Notre Dame product underwent a laminectomy procedure on Wednesday to take pressure off of piched nerves from the spinal cord. Late last July at Notre Dame he underwent back surgery to repair a herniated disc. He was back on the field playing five weeks later in the Notre Dame opener and made all 13 starts. Until the back surgery he was projected to be a first-round draft choice. The recent surgery was unrelated to the back surgery last season. He is expected upon his return to play behind left tacke Matt Lepsis.
