The Broncos released backup safety Sam Brandon yesterday, after he failed a physical. Brandon tore a right knee ligament last fall against Pittsburgh. He hopes to play again next season after more microfracture surgery on the knee.

The Broncos signed third-round draft pick Ryan Harris yesterday. Harris is a left tackle from Notre Dame. The Broncos still have two rookies unsigned, defensive ends Jarvis Moss and Tim Crowder. The team cranks up training camp Sunday morning at Dove Valley.
